As neither beer nor coffee was an option, I choose cocoa. Hot cider is also good.
Here's an Oklahoma thing. Hot Dr. Pepper with a squeeze of lemon. We only had it around the holidays. Basically to put Dr. Pepper in a sauc epan (gently so as not to lose all the fizz) and heat on low. Add lemon right before serving.
