Poll 1-25-16 Cartoons shorts before a movie starts

I vote yes.

But there is simply no financial benefit to anyone involved to do so. The short feature costs money to produce, but adds little or nothing to the box-office take. The people who intend to see a movie will see it regardless of a short feature in front of it.

Plus a short feature cuts into the time available for the "oh my god will they ever end" stream of previews they play before the features now.

I was just thinking of my utter surprise and delight a few years ago when I went to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets and there was a Goofy cartoon before the movie, and I still think of that and go "Why don't studio do this more often?"
