Have you tried setting a time limit up front?
"There are six trainings. Each one takes 20 minutes to view. You have until noon to get through them all. Go."

Dude, I may be crazy, but I'm not suicidally crazy. I'm not worried about figuring the assignment out and getting credit. It's the part where I'll actually miss talking with those guys in class.
I am grinning WIDELY!

Hm, I'd forgotten that we'd friended each other. I notice you don't seem to hang out in the TRV haunt much if at all.
Also, glad to hear that you're okay from the storm.

All good here. Our basket ball goal slid about 15 ft, but that was it. Most of the damage was a couple of miles away.
Happy to hear you are all ok

I am, however, breaking what had been a streak of perfect attendance thus far, and I won't be able to participate in the in class activity we started last week. It can be done solo at home to get credit, but that's still not as fun or good as doing it with the other students that have become my default team.
Then there's the fact that I'll be making a smokes run later today, and getting something to eat as well. Smoking while sick is not a good thing, I know this from experience, and yet I suck at not being able to do it. The weather tomorrow is gonna be about as shitty, and I'll have a work shift in the afternoon, which I can't afford to miss. I'm already behind on hours and have been hoping to make up some time this week, but the forecast right now looks like constant rain, which won't likely do me much good. This month is gonna be a tricky bastard for me.
On another note, I've got some new polls up.

Also you said I should send you app requests when I'm annoying Gallen, but I quit doing that. The app I'm playing now is Big Fish Casino. Slots, Roulette, poker, horse racing. I'ts fun. Takes some getting use to to keep from busting out every day. You get a daily spin and half hour bonus, They will also replenish you early on when you go bust.
It's a fun time waster. I hit a big jackpot on reward tickets, so I have about 20 mil in reserve now.

I'm going out to find the Amon Carter museum of Art in Fort Worth. Looks like it's just across the street from the Kimbell museum which I have been to more than once. Did not know there was more to see right in that same neighborhood.
Maybe I'll have pictures to share later.

Happy to have it, even if it means the streets will flood (Supesville has poor drainage systems)
I arrived at the Happy Joy laundry, unloaded my baskets from the car, came in and used the change machine and the skies opened up. You could not see the road from the front if the Happy Joy.
I love stormy weather and my timing to get here before it made driving inconvenien was lucky.
In other news, yesterday I learned that the bridge on Euless Main Street over highway 183 is about to be demolished and redone. 18 months of detours to the Kroger.

Went to WF Friday for my friend's husband's concert. Also his birthday. So his wife decided she wanted to decorate a table for him, so we did. Boob pillow, rocker duckies, some sort of bondage tape. But when the concert started we went in the "concert" part of the bar which is a separate room. The boob pillow came with, but we left the rest. And people stole all the other shit-which is no surprise, but my friend was pissed off. She got drunk. She also didn't have enough money to pay for all her beer, which is also about the usual. So she would demand other people pay for beer for her. I don't do that, she has quit asking me. In general, if I'm your friend, I'm happy to buy you a beer, but I'm not interested in being taken advantage of, so I don't buy anything for her.
And then I spent the rest of the weekend writing papers for class.
Your friend's husband is in the band, and she mooches drinks? Can't she get free beer from the bar for groupie reasons?
I'm not sure if the band gets free drinks-maybe while they are playing. But they aren't going to give anyone else free beer.
Yea, they don't manage their money well. She doesn't work, and her game plan for that was elected office, which she lost.

I was driving to Houston last week and stopped at the HEB for a bathroom break. I'm there recycling my coffee and here a lady and her kid at the door. Shes saying something I can't make out and he's whining "I don't want too. Don't make me." They come in. I still can't make out the lady, just a voice. Then the kid would complain.
I assume the lady want's her kid to piss and he doesn't want to. Since they are both by the sink now (other side of a wall) I zip it up to get out of their way. I round the corner to wash and there is a guy about 30 doing both voices in the mirror.
Yikes. Norman Bates right there.
When I was in school in Norman, OK, there was an old dude they called "The Glove Man"
He was probably schizophrenic and stories about him were legendary. But once I encountered him in the Kroger store. He was at a meat counter, holding a package of some kind of meat. He was muttering to himself. Out of curiosity, I got close enough to him to hear what he was saying.
He was affecting an Edward G Robinson gangster voice and talking about how *somebody* "sleeps with the fishes, see..."
That's when I learned that not all the stories about crazy people are exaggerated.
