My co-manager scheduled herself without a closer in the store today. Told me at the meeting she thought she might need to go home early because her kid is sick-- then we get back to the store and her last sales rep is scheduled to go home at 7:00. I'm pretty sure she was hinting around that she wanted me to stay and close so she could go take care of her baby--
and she earns half of the manager bonus...

Another hotel gave her a room that wasn't clean enough and then took 2 hours to send someone to her room with new batteries for the remote. And yet another was that it was too far away from the Amarillo center (15 minutes, almost exactly as far as our center is from Supesville) and she didn't have time to eat breakfast. So, when I booked her this time, I asked her what hotel since the HIE didn't have any state rate rooms. She tells me just pick one, she didn't really care. Yea right. I just got an IM from my counterpart in Amarillo, that the IT person showed up at the center, raving about how she refuses to stay at the hotel that I booked her into because the door is open to the public. Whatever that means. And she canceled her reservation there. The person in Amarillo has spent 30 minutes (about how long I spent finding her this hotel last week) calling around to find a room. Finally got permission from the administrator to pay more for the room, and got a supervisor at the HIE to give them a room for a discount (still not as low at the state rate). Which means that this bitch is going to expect this from now on.
I plan to speak to my boss (who is also her boss) about this, and let him know that I think she needs to book her own hotel rooms from now on. I shouldn't have to spend a half hour looking hotels up on mapquest to see how far from the center they are because she won't stay more than 10 minutes away) and then listening to her crazy rantings about how terrible her FREE stay at a hotel was. Damn.
