She's been doing for about 9 months. It's not difficult-you match up receipt with the entry on the bill, then determine which research project it belongs to and make a spreadsheet with the total for each project account number used for payment, then send the whole thing in to campus, where they deduct the funds from the accounts and request a check from the state. The hardest part is getting the balance right, because it's easy to transpose a number in the spreadsheet or miss a decimal. Anyway, she's working on December's bill and emails me asking if a specific employee has already terminated. He has. Now she's in a panic because she can't find his fuel receipts and now what do we do because he's gone!?. However, this employee never had a fuel card. His boss is located on the mother ship, but she has a few research plots here, and so he's officed here to work on those, but he uses a fuel card assigned to the mother ship, not us. He brought all his receipts to me, so I could send them to his boss. She has a list I've given her of all the fuel cards that are checked out and who is assigned which one. She didn't check it, because she was CERTAIN this card belonged to this guy. A guy who has never had one of our fuel cards and has never brought her a fuel receipt.
I know I complain about her often and you guys may think I'm over-reacting or something, but this is the kind of stuff I deal with all the time. This isn't a learning curve.
No, she's just dumb as toast.
As for me, I have taken off early and I am sitting in No Frills grill drinking a beer to,try to numb the pain in my ankle. Will be buying new shoes in a few.
I agree with Patch, maybe you need to look into a brace to wear while working. What about that Dr. Scholl's foot machine thing? I've seen those commercials, where you get on and it tells you what's wrong with your feet and what type of shoe insert you need to help.
