I'm not sure if UPS puts a number on the slip or not. I don't think they attempt to re-deliver, if they can't deliver it, they usually take it back to the local site and the recipient has to go out there to get it. But I would think the note would say that it was given to the leasing office, or returned to the UPS site.
UPS does attempt to redeliver, at least they did for me when I was at work while they tried to deliver a package.

He said the note said it's at his leasing office. He just didn't get home in time and his office was closed. I'm more wary about him actually sending me the money on time like he says he is.

So I got in touch with the buyer just now. He said there was no package, but a note, so he thinks they tried to deliver it and he wasn't home so they took it to his apartments leasing office, or the UPS office. There should be a #on the pink slip to contact right? I told him either way it's there and safe and asked again if he could try to get the payment here by Friday as I could really use the money and he said he understands and will take care of it..I'm still feeling uneasy.

Soo...I sold a painting last Thursday. The buyer is someone I know through another friend. He said he would cover shipping if it was under $50. I shipped the painting Thursday for $35. That included the box, bubble wrap and postage. I sold the painting for $50 for a total of $85, which we agreed on. I sent him a picture of the total for shipping and the tracking # and asked him if it was possible to wire me the money before this Thursday, as I'm going to Terrapin for the summer festival and will need the money. Knowing that my dad consumed himself with booze and weed (and very likely other things) makes me extremely wary of these things. knowing my family history I am afraid I would like it too much.
