I opened it up and tried to slip the staples forward and sliced my finger open. Bleeding like a stuck pig I found some napkins in the truck and wrapped up my finger. I couldn't find any tape to hold it in place, to I started shooting like shit, trying not to bleed everywhere until it slowed. After running through my napkin collection, it stopped for the most part and I was able to get a good grip on my pistols and my aim improved. It would bleed off and on after that but not nearly as bad.
Then it was time to test the Uzi. I loaded up and the first few rounds went well, then something happened and it would not charge. I broke it down, could find nothing wrong, tried a few more times with no luck and determined it must be in the lower. This morning I took the lower apart and see that a couple of springs are not in place anymore. One had flipped, the other disconnected. So I'm going to strip it down and re-spring it. I'm also ordering yet another part. A new style recoil spring that should fit the bolt better.
I am almost to the point I want to sell it, but I'm determined to get it running right before I do. For what is supposed to be one of the most reliable guns around, its a pain in my ass.
BLOOD FOR THE GUN GODS!!
