I have a tale to share with a little moral at the end. Last week, our IT person was going to be gone Wed-Friday. She asked that her office floor be swept, mopped with clean water (because our custodian does not EVER change out the water in the mop bucket and it's disgusting), and then the floors buffed and polished. Tuesday before she left, they emptied her office out into the library. Well, our custodian is pretty lazy, and he messed around and didn't do it. Friday at 4:50 p.m., our boss asked him if he had gotten the floor done. He said no, he decided not to do it because he can't get the stain out of the tiles (some of the tiles are discolored and cracking), so why bother? I don't know why that means he can't sweep and mop, but whatever. Well, my boss decided that we should replace the tile (it's that cafeteria style tile), so now the custodian who was trying to get out of buffing her floor has spent the whole day today chipping up stained tiles so they can be replaced tomorrow. (Her office is next to mine, so it's been a fun day of listening to that mess being chipped up). Anyway, the moral is, IT CAN ALWAYS BE WORSE.

But seeing arkay's messages at 2:00 AM and everyone else's that followed really brought me up.  I believe the lucky day at thhe casino was due to my happy feelings going in.

Also I spent today doing all the things my doctor will be very cross with me about.

Started with home-made sausage, biscuits and gravy.  The biscuits were the frozen pillsbury kind, but I'm still calling them homemade.
Then an afternoon in a smoky casino and consumed pink girly alcohol drink.
Then came home for red meat and baked potato.
Finally hot brownies with vanilla frozen yogurt on top.

Tomorrow I got to go back to pretending to be good.

Glad you had a nice day. That's all I ever care about. A relaxing day where I can do what I want and not freak out that another year has passed in a blink.
