I'm officially worried. Maybe just give your doctor's office a call to see if they have any suggestions?

Today our company CEO showed up at the meeting and spoke to the group. I'm sure my blood pressure spiked. Blood pressure issues concern me. Be careful out there.

Allow me to rant a bit on this subject.

We have a man who drove his vehicle through the gate that locks the car lot at 1:00 AM. He spent considerable time jumping on the hoods of the cars there. Pulled windshield wipers off on car, busted the glass of the windshield of another and tried to peel it back so he could get into the car. Then he took his car and drove it through the plate glass window of the showroom.

Police arrive-- there is a confrontation (no cameras inside the dealership so that's not entirely clear) and the man is shot dead.

And I am hearing about how this man had a promising future, how he was a college football player with a future and how these *racist* cops just *murdered* him. Now I can imagine there are police officers who are too quick to use force. I also imagine that it's the hardest thing in the world trying to be absolutely sure deadly force is required in a situation like that.

Too many people looking to cash in political chips over this mess.

Ha. My tower is above the clouds it only rains when I let it.

Really part of my weekend will probably suck. I have a 12 hour drive on Sunday to Alabama. Then work on Monday an 8 hour haul to Shreveport more work then I'm hitting the casino and making some money. I just sold a gun a few minutes ago. My plan is to take that cash, triple it, and buy another once I roll back into Texas. I have my eye on a new toy

Good afternoon gang. Glad to see the thread is full of woe and misery, just the way I like it. Oh Polk, I personally would definitely try to get you to do something you didn't want to do. Best believe dat. Anyway, one more day till the weekend. I hope everyone is hanging in there. Except for Patch, up there on his ivory tower living the sweet life. I hope it rains all weekend on that guy.

PS I like my guns, but gun nuts like the ones you mentioned drive me crazy. No one is infringing on your right to carry by saying you can't carry in their workplace or home. It's theirs, not yours, jackass
If it bothers them so much, they should make a real stand and quit.

    Now back to the smut

Exactly.  1/3 of just Supesville's employees are not Christian.  Does it diminish your own faith to call it a winter break versus a christmas break, so we are inclusive of all our employees, and also so we are following our Constitution?

It just annoyed me this morning, probably because it was a reply all with ridiculous statements in it, from at least one person who emailed about his freedom to carry a gun (and I'm not making any statements either way about the gun laws) being infringed upon by laws prevented concealed weapons on state premises.

Sometimes the dumb stuff I heard just rolls off, and other days it really annoys me.

Thanks for allowing me to vent. Now back to our regularly scheduled program of dicks and boobs.

    I ate both pork chops.

    They were good.

I made nearly the same thing last night, only I baked it. Pork chops in a pan, covered with cream of mushroom, and cream of chicken. topped with some onions and bell peppers, tossed it in the over at 350 for an hour and served it over white rice with a salad.
One of my kids favorites and easy to whip up.

I would never influence you to do something you didn't want to do.

Re: counter space, I don't have much either. But I don't keep it out, when it's not in use I keep it put away in a cabinet.

I have a meat thermometer and my chicken always heats up to the correct temp.

No idea. Occasionally a person just never comes to pick up a replacement. Sometimes it's because they bought a phone elsewhere or cancelled the service entirely. I've never had a person wait five months and then come in just expecting to go "remember me?" and expect everything is just waiting for them.

I was traumatized because the woman was absolutely abusive and we had no fault in the issue.

I'm instantly filled with dread.  I have no phone replacement for the person/account this guy is talking about.  I do research.  We did, in fact, order a warranty swap replacement phone for the device... In March.

We typically call the customer when the phone arrives.  We leave a message if the customer does not answer.  If no one shows up to get the phone within 10 days, we send the phone back.  Those are the rules.

It has been close to five months and NOW they're here to swap the phone...

IN the meantime this kids iPhone 5C has a shattered screen and it looks like he tried to take the damaged glass off by peeling the metal frame that attached to the glass up and away.  A damaged phone is not replaceable under warranty.

I explain to the guy that A) we can't hold a replacement phone that long and B) we would not be swapping it today if we had it in the store.

The guy leaves. Angry, but he goes.

Ten minutes later his wife calls. Demands to know why we didn't call er five months ago.  Claims that we called the kid, who is apparently too stupid to tell his mom he got a voicemail from the store.  Expects me to make good on the exchange arranged FIVE FUCKING MONTHS AGO because she says it's our fault she didn't get the message and come in FIVE FUCKING MONTHS AGO to swap the device.

I listen to her call me a liar.  I listen to her proclaim that she is "going to talk shit" about cell phone mining corp, inc to everyone she knows. I listen to her demand that I make good on the exchange of the phone.  I give her my district manager's number. And now I will drink whiskey.

Funny part is, she expects I am going to call her back to resolve the matter.

    I am not.

Yeah I get it but that's not how it works. If I don't send an unclaimed phone back in a timely manner I get to pay for it out of what my store earns.

And it doesn't excuse a twenty minute tirade of verbal abuse.

I scrapped the idea of cooking a steak.  Beef is gawdawful expensive and I would wreck it in my kitchen.  So I bought a couple of thick cut pork chops (less than half the price of the steak)

I browned them in a skillet then added a couple of cut-up mushrooms and an onion.  Let it cook down for a minute then added a can of cream of mushroom soup ( the garlicky kind )

It reminds me of a dish my momma used to make because we were poor and had to make our meat stretch to feed four.

    I ate both pork chops.

    They were good.

Aside from the onion (never liked the flavor of onions), that sounds good.

This is why I wear a long sleeve shirt over my t-shirt when I do my sign waiving job for the pizza factory. I only have to put sunscreen on my face and neck, makes it much easier.

Got a case of "tired and lazy" today. I didn't have work, or any big plans. Just a counseling session, and maybe seeing the new Fantastic Four out of morbid curiosity, but I didn't even have the energy for that. So I called my counselor and rescheduled, then went back to sleep and blew off the rest of the day. Aside from a small bit of guilt for not getting anything done, I feel oddly content.

It was, indeed, slapped together, but I enjoyed it. Change of pace.

Swelling can indicate elevated blood pressure. That might also be a side effect of the sunburn. Please be careful. I will worry.

In other news, I am about to describe what I slapped together for dinner tonight.
