That's the way I got dressed before the injury. Is that strange?

I had a good weekend until last night when I was playing football with the boys. I tried to sprint at felt my plantar tendon pop, more like pop pop pop pop. It has been bothering me for a couple of months, but was on the mend. Now, not so much. I'll be in a boot for a few weeks, which sucks.
I am sitting at my computer for the first time in years. The trickiest part is driving with the boot on. You can't bend your foot to press the gas, so it's a pain. I have to go to Round Rock for work on Thursday. I may have to lose the boot for the drive.

Yesterday, I was approached by a pair of guys who wanted to witness to me for their church. They were nice and friendly, but I'm very not into organized religion. I gave polite non-committal answers like "I don't go to church much. I think of religion as a private thing. etc." so as not to hurt their feelings or start an argument about why I think it'd be a waste of my time.
A half hour or so later, I went on a bathroom break, and when I came back outside I noticed a book lying in the street along the crosswalk, as though someone had dropped it from their car or something. Picked it up, and it was something called "Beautiful Ruins", might be worth a read.
Right after that I heard a woman crying in a park car that was right behind me. After a minute or so, I went over and asked if she was okay. She told me that he husband had thrown her out, she had no place to go and was hungry. I wasn't sure what to say to that, so I told her I hope things turn around for her. She thanked me, went back to crying and eventually got herself together and drove away.
None of those things were too out of the ordinary, but having them all happen so close together felt... odd for lack of a better word.
What church?

Thank you.
Ugh. Boys.
